As we reach the end of November, I began to look back over the months. Not very productive, I'm afraid. But I'm coming to terms with my grief. Some days, are truly terrible but they are becoming less frequent. I will never be grief-free but I believe it can become bearable.
I've rejoined CLUB SCRAP and have made new friends and found old ones. Their designs are still unique and beautiful. There Watercolor Christmas is stunning. I haven't had the chance to play with the kit - something to look forward to.

Life Book 2015
18th December, 2014
Since my daughter's death in March this year, I have been a lost soul. On the 16th or this month, her birthday, she would have been 44. I've discovered grief is a long, on-going process and even with family around me I felt isolated and alone.
Then I came upon Willowing.com read and about Tam, her art and the various art courses she teaches.
I took her free course "Art, Heart& Healing" a true exercise in healing. I recommend it to one and all. It's on ongoing course and open to everyone and available at:
When I saw she was doing another year-long, Life Book 2015. I knew I had found help for my grief . I signed up immediately and January, 2015 is just a few weeks away.
I am not an artist, I have trouble drawing a basic oval but I am allowing myself to trust my soul's response to my pencil and colours.
My dearest daughter, will be guiding my hand, watching me.....

A New Direction
A New Direction in Digital Scrapbooking
I discovered Art Journaling by chance - there was a challenge at Oscraps.
This was the result:

1958 Dixieland at its best! |
Well it wasn't "true" art journaling but it was a beginning.....
The next attempt was again, using Maya de Groot Designs products available at Oscraps.com

Attentions |
Now I felt adventurous and bought a kit from Captivated Visions at Scrapbook Graphics called "Fluent in Sarcasm" This kit was made for me as I'm apparently out-spoken :) Anyhow, here is my page: Called Me? Sarcastic?
I was over the moon when it was chosen as a GSO at DST.

Still Life
The challenge on the Oscraps Blog to create a page using One Little Bird's kit Still Life, inspired me to do this layout.

"Winter is the time for comfort, for good food and warmth, for the touch of a friendly hand and for a talk beside the fire: it is the time for home."
Author ~ Edith Sitwell

Certifiably Cute
Back after a long hiatus away from the blogging world.
I've been busy digital scrapbooking trying to finish layouts for Christmas gifts. This first page is my dear grandson, Benjamin at 2-years-old. He is now 22! Where does the time go?
He was a sweet happy child and my layout is called, appropriately, Certifiably Cute.

Taking a Risk
This is my first ever extraction and fantasy layout. After seeing creations by friends, Helen and Linda decided to take the leap and give it a try.
The photo is my granddaughter, she was originally laying on a small bridge.
I had to add the umbrella because the photo was clipped at this point of her legs.
I'm not artistic enough to draw legs :)
I also owe this leap into new realms to the new Russian Digital Shop MATRIOSHKI SCRAP who have the most delicious fantasy kits. Be sure to check them out!
